The Bay’s fashion school empowers youth ages 8-14 to build creativity, technical sewing skills, and confidence through hands-on projects
Fashion School at The Bay is a six-week long workshop designed for youth ages 8 to 14 who are excited about exploring the world of fashion design and sewing. Tailored for beginners and youth with some experience, this hands-on course introduces students to foundational sewing techniques, from machine operation to fabric cutting and basic garment construction. Over the six weeks, youth will work on creating a series of projects that allow them to apply their new sewing skills creatively.
By the end of the six weeks, students will a complete design made by them from scratch.
Fashion School sessions at The Bay in Lincoln are now requiring pre-registration.* Registration includes free use of our sewing machines, materials and fabric on-site. You’re also welcome to bring your fabric! *A waiver MUST be completed HERE by a guardian prior to attending.*
